About Me

Hi, I'm Kayela!

I'm the photographer behind Morgan Street Photography. I'm married to my person, Chad, and we have two incredible kids, Kennedy and Chandler. I've always loved capturing moments in my life, but it wasn't until I became a mother that I was made painfully aware just how fleeting life can be. The best of times are happening RIGHT NOW and we need to capture those moments while we can. It was that realization that really propelled me into taking a leap of faith and turning my passion into a business.

Fun facts

  • The name Morgan Street was chosen to pay homage to my Nana and Papa and everything their home means to me. Their home was filled with fun, laughter, a bit of chaos, and always lots of love. This is the type of magic I want to capture in my photographs—the type of magic you’d find in that little house on Morgan Street.
  • We are a big Disney family! I could seriously talk for hours about Disney.
  • I met my husband in college when we were both in the music program. He was in the band and played saxophone and I was in choir.
  • Prior to photography, I wanted to be a midwife. I'm fascinated by birth and the incredible things women can do. One day I hope to mesh my two passions together and offer birth photography.
  • I'm also a big breastfeeding advocate!
  • I love being a hype girl and empowering women. If you're feeling a bit self conscious at the start of your session, don't worry, I got you!
